Here’s a simple Matcha tea smoothie that you can enjoy anytime of day. It’s a great and healthy alternative to coffee, giving you energy without taxing your adrenal glands. ⁣

I’ve been having one of these daily to reap the health benefits of Matcha tea. It’s high in antioxidants, helps fight disease due to Catechins like EGCG, the high amount of EGCG also has antibiotic qualities, improves cardiovascular health, induces relaxation (non-drowsy), due to the L-theanine, Matcha also contains high levels of chlorophyll which helps to detox the body. ⁣

Ingredients:⁣

1/2 cup frozen fruit (mango, pineapple, berries, banana) try something new everyday.⁣
I like to add 1/2 an avocado in place of banana. It makes the smoothie thick and creamy while enjoying the healthy fats. ⁣
1 tsp organic Matcha Tea powder⁣
1 cup of dairy free milk or water⁣
Sweetener of choice (dates, honey, maple syrup, monk fruit or stevia. ⁣
optional – a handful of spinach or kale, 1/2 cup of coconut yogurt or kefir. ⁣

Blend everything in a high speed blender and enjoy! ⁣
